Notice to all Victorian Members

NOTE: These changes will take effect as of Monday 25th October 2010

The Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation (VCGR) has advised us that online auction schemes in which a participant’s success is based on whether a bid is unique and a fee is paid for each bid, meets the definition of a lottery which is illegal in Victoria. This is because the scheme displays an element of chance in winning a prize.

Lotteries are prohibited in Victoria by Section 2.2.1 (1) of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003.

We wish to notify all Victorian members that in the upcoming future all Victorian members will unfortunately not be able to bid on any of the Tuitbids Highest Unique Auctions. We will notify you here once this change has come into effect.

All existing bids placed prior to these changes taking effect will remain active, however once the changes occur, Victorian members will no longer be able to place bids. If you have tuits remaining you can request a refund following clause 7.1 & 7.2 of the terms and conditions.
